Is proof of marriage needed while filing petition for mainte

Please help, I have been looking for some legal help. Can I file for Maintenance, I do Not have any proof of marriage.

I have been married for around 8 yrs now. My in-laws used ti trouble me a lot,  my husband used to verbally abuse me. He did not take care of any of my needs emotional, physical, monetary etc. .After about 3 years  he thrashed me, stuffed some colth in my mouth to prevent me from screaming, I was very scared and returned to my parents. He has not called me back after that, he never spent any money on any of my requirements and now since I am staying away from him there is no question of any such thing. My parents are supporting me as iam not working.

Do you not have marriage photos?Did you not register your marriage?

You may file for maintainence. Looking at what you've faced, you may file other serious charges as well.

Thank you very much.

Everyone can have a different perception of an incident, and they do have the right to put forth their view.

I am  also aware of the fact when one falls  / needs help,

most of  the people around are willing to  Mock / Ridicule and very few willing to extend a supporting hand.

It is only your parents who empathise and support you.

What proofs atleast you have for the marriage? Please post here so that experts can help. Defintely some proof for the marriage is mandatory.

You've come up with only two three lines of your story as to what happnd.

This is a legal forum.

You have to come with full details as to both the parties in question, only then can you expect a fair advice.

Half half queries, give rise to half half answers, which you will definitely find mocking in nature.

:-(

Its too late.It looks like you are a genuine victim. Try to get marriage proofs and file for maintenance.

What good is a man if he can't provide for his own wife and kids?

You posted your problem 5 months ago. The last response also was 5 months ago. It is very unfortunate that none of the replies was helpful to you. Are you still with your problem?
