Is sms can be produced as evidence in civil court

Can I produce sms as evidence in Civil court for the recovery of my money? I gave 3,00,000 to my friend and now he is not willing to pay me. I have many sms in my mobile where he sent like he will pay sum amount today, tomorrow etc. Will the civil court accept these as evidence?

electronic records such as SMSs have evidentiary value. Preserve SMS, mobile on which delivered and its SIM card. There should be no evidence of tampering.
