Joint development agreement for agricultural lands

Hi, I would like to know if by law we are allowed to enter into a Joint Development Agreement for an agricultural land on agricultural basis. Also can such a Joint Development agreement be registered if so how do we do the registration. Also do let us know the various parameters that are to be considered to secure the ownership of land towards the owners and also secure the investments made by the developer.
