In joint properties:
1) Two owners (one married one unmarried)
2) Ownership exists in equal halfs
When the unmarried passes, leaves no will, how is the property divided. Are their any provisions for Surviorship, as a result of joint property status.
Second if the property remains undivided for a specific time period after the unmarried persons passing. When the property is divided, the property is divided via the hindu sucession act.
During this division, if heirs who were alive after the unmarried individual had passed have now passed themselves can their children lay claim?
