Land grabbing

Hi -  One of neighbour has occupied our 1 acre of agricultural land near Dharmapuri, Tamil Nadu.When we asked him to vacate, he is telling that land belongs to his father's brother and when we asked for documentation he is not producing the same. When we asked him to vacate the land, he is threatening us to kill us and forcefully occupying the land illegally.

Can we file a criminal complaint and land grabbing case in this instance?

Just file application with your dpcuments to concerned land revenue officer/tehsildar and ask his to demarcate the land

you can lodge a criminal complaint for illegal trespass and for the acts of threats to your life and also for damaging the property.

Besides you can file a suit for ejctment to eject him from the property and for possession.
