Hello,
I am buying a resale property in Thane, Ghodbunder Road.
I have heard that effective 1st August 2015, LBT is abolished in Maharashtra. Earlier the Stamp Duty + LBT + Registration Amount used to be like 5% (Stamp Duty) + 1% LBT + 1% Registration (Max 30,000) of the consideration Value respectively. Post 1st August, aboloshiment of LBT, does this mean that the buyer doesnot have to pay 1% (LBT). Does this mean buyer have to pay 5% Stamp Duty + 1% Registration (Max 30,000) of the Consideration Value.
Pls someone clarify my doubt as I was under the impression that with LBT being abolished, buyer does not have to pay 1% LTB any more post 1st August 2015 for purchase of Flats in Thane, area is Ghodbunder Road.
Please revert.
Thanks & Regards,
Suvajit Mandal
