Dear friends, please let me know what are the legal remedies available to an advocate against a client who intentionally cheates and evades his fees ? Whether criminal culpability is waived if there is any criminal element by the client. Please try to demarcate the civil liability and criminal liability on the part of the client.

A civil suit can be filed for recovery of fees against the client.

You should have proof of the fees agreed upon and the fees outstanding. Have u raised any bill of fee against ur client and sent it to him?
