Legal validity of e-documents

Hello !!!

I understand that electronically generated computer documents/ reports do not require to be signed manually. Is it valid legally? What about legal validity of e-mails? Please throw some light on the relevant provisions of the Legislation/ Act that covers this topic.

The Information Technology Act, 2000 recognizes digital signatures & e-contracts. For a concluded contract an offer and acceptance is needed and if these are fulfilled in the e-contract then it is binding in law
