Dear sirs,

What is the meaning of legally enforceable debt? Is a hand loan without any documentary evidence a legally enforceable debt?

legally enforceable dept is  a dept enforceable by law that is the dept which is not forbidden by the law and it is within the period of limitation as per the limitation act. a hand loan with in the period of limitation is a legally enforceable dept. there is no need of further evidence regarding the existance of dept except the cheque issued. cheque issued is a valid document and to rebutt the existance of  legally  enforciable dept the accused have to produce the documents or proof for.
