Dear querist, legal heirs of a deceased person are having equal rights over not only the assests but liabilities also.

Legal heirs are liable for the debts of the deceased limited to the estate they have inherited from him/her.

Rama chary Rachakonda ji, the housing society is still sending bills in the name of late member and has not made heir member despite application . Whether heir is then liable to pay tne extended dues ?

The amounts demanded in such bills would be a charge against the property. The subsequent occupants are liable.
