lic claim

a person has purchase a life insurance policy  of RS.2,50,000/- from LIC and he died with in 3 yrs from the date of purchase of the policy....the doctor has issued the medical certificate stating that he died due to heavy intake of alcohol and now the LIC officers are refusing to give the policy claim amount to the hiers of the deceased...is it right? do any person drink heavily to die just to make his legal heirs to claim the policy amount? plz suggest me how to help the poor hiers of the deceased...

once check the insurance which type of insured deceased person, if medical related insured or accidental insured or ordinary death insured.
