Link documents

Hello,

My great grand father has shared his land to his two sons (my grand father and his brother).

Now my grand father has shared his land to his sons (my dad and my uncle), in the presence of a lawyer through a promisory note.

We have done the registration for the land which we have got from my grand father.

Recently we applied for the home loan in SBI, the bank is asking for the link documents in order to grant the loan.

How can we get the link documents and from where, please guide me through the process.

The only documents we have are the PROMISORY NOTE written by my grandfather.

The bank would insist on a complete chain of title (how the grandfather got the property and even before that) Consult a good property lawyer in your area for a due diligence - he would investigate in teh concerned land/revenue of your state and get the complette chain out.

Feel free to talk !

After my father passed away, a year back we purchased  the  land from my uncle( who has got the other half of the land from my grandfather), but we were not given any documents related to the land. we have done the registration of the total land that we have got( from my grandfather + the other half of the land that we purchased from my uncle).

please tell me the documents that we should possess in order to get a loan.
