loan of husband

If wife is living apart from husband and not in contact with him,and if husband takes loan without her knowledge,let alone consent,does wife hv any responsibility to pay up in case he doesnt repay the loan?wht should the wife do to prove that she isnt in contact and doesnt knw about such loan?
