Dear LCI Members,
A Civil case for permnent injuction was filed against myfriend by her tenant & the same is bring contested by her through her lawyer. While the case was goingon, there was no hearing dates given by the Court for quite some time. On enquirey, she was given to understand that the case was moved for Lok Adalat. My friend's Lawyer says he is also not aware of this. In this connection please let me know the following:
1.The procedure for moving a case to Lok Adalat.
2. Whether the case can be moved to Lok Adalat by the Plaintiff without the knowledge/ concurrance of the Respondent (My friend)?
3. As my friend wants to contest the case which has already moved to Lok Adalat, what can be done for the case to be heard in the Court where it was filed?
