Maharashtra agriculture land - need information

Hi,

My grand father was a farmer in Maharashtra and possessed few acres of agricultural land, but after his death - all of our ancestral agricultural land was sold by paternal uncle and father around 1954. After that, no one from my family (my father, uncle) ever purchased agricultural land OR was a farmer by profession.

So in this case, as my grand father was farmer, would I be able to buy agricultural land in Maharashtra?
