Maintenance under the divorce act

Dear Experts,

Kindly, explain me the following.

A wife who deserts husband is not allowed to seek maintenance.

Is she entitled to get maintenance if she faces proceedings of divorce under the Divorce Act under the ground of two years of separation from her husband?

Please note the Divorce Act. Kindly advise.

She is entitled to interim maintenance during the time the case is running in the court.only when divorce is granted to you on grounds of wilful desertion she wouldn't be entitled to claim maintenance from you

She has to explain why she deserted, if she pleads cruelty which jhappens in most of the cases then she will be entitled for maintainence.

Thanks & Regards,
