marraige

i want to marry a girl and so does she wants to marry me, but parents are not in favour. we from the same town. what is the procedure of getting married other than going to the local marraige registrar office.

You can marry according to custom provided you're 21 and she, 18.

3. Whether both of you will stand on your own legs, without the help and support of your respective parents?

In that case go in for Arya Samaj marriage in the Mandir (especially when you do not want to go to the Marriage Registrar's office).

Exchanging garlands is not marriage because there's no such custom.
