Marriage

I am a 28yr old male from Jain community.

I want to know if its legal if I marry my second cousin (i.e. my father's cousin brother's daughter - to be spedific both of our grandfathers were real brothers). I have gone through the Hindu Marriage Act but somehow find it confusing. Can anyone please enlighten me from a legal point of view.

Regards,

1. The reply is NO. Such relations fall under prohibited relationship within meaning of Hindu Marriage Act.
2. Hindu Marriage Act is applicable to Jains.

Just a clarification – can I understand how does father’s cousin brothers daughter come under prohibited laws because list mentions only ‘father’s brothers daughter’.

Also is it possible under Special Marriage Act?
