Please advise..
A marriage certificate is obtained by a couple but they separate......Does the divorce enforce them to cancel the certificate....???? How does the 3rd person come to know seeing the certificate whether the marriage certificate is still valid in law i.e. if partners are still together or they have separated.

no matter the partners are living together / separate, unless & until they get divorce decree, from a competent court, their marriage is legally valid for all purposes.
marriage certificate is merely one of the proofs of a marriage.
