It do not affect your title or possession and sky is not going to fall down.

The property tax is mainly charged on the property and the owner of the property is liable to pay the tax as per Section 66 of NDMC Act. If the owner does not make the payment, the property tax can be recovered from the occupant of the property.

You may ask it to a CA or in a Municipality.

Such taxes constitute a first charge on the property. If unpaid and allowed to accumulate, the dues could put even your title to the property in jeopardy.

Actually MCD has sent us the arrear of property tax wef 2004-2005 amounting to Rs 8 lacs but we have been aying the property tax regularly.What should we do now

Visit MCD office with all records and reconcile, however, it is not a legal dispute / issue for consideration and obligation of experts on this platform.
