I have personally experienced with TAX EVASION PETITION (TEP). I have filed TEP asking sources of dowry allegation made by my wife,father in law. Due to this Income tax RIDE happned and ITO sent response to my RTI which I filed at later state asking status of TEP. Which is useful to get aquited the 498A case.
