Mumbai

I am the primary owner of the Mumbai flat and I added my mother name on the property (second name) as I had to visit out of county a lot . I took bank loan to pay off the property and have all the documents to prove that I paid off the entire loan.   I want to take my mothers name out of the flat as I don't want sibling to claim my property or I don't want to go through any legal hassle to get release form sign if something happen to my mother.

 

What is the procedure and document to become sole owner ???What will be the percentage I will have to pay as stamp duty and registration? How does Mumbai no stamp duty acts apply in my case ??.

Sir,

 

Get a Relinquishment Deed or No Objection Certificate from her and get the property mutated in your name or she can also make a gift deed making you 100% owner of the property.
