Please let me know in mutual consent divorce the date given for hearing after 6 months - is it from the date of filing the petition ?
My daughter has filed for Mutual consent petition on 26th July 2011, when will the date of hearing after 6 months be ?
I would appreciate an early reply.

6 months from the date of filing of petition.

The date will be six months from filing of the Petition. So it should be around Dec end or Jan. The party is informed the date on the day of the filing. So please check with your daughter if she was given the date for next appearance in court.

After 6 months it is second motion ... and then you have the evidence case and then the judge will ask both the wife and husband..... and once satisfied will pass the divorce decese.
