My friend & myself would like to exchange our apartments without any monetary consideration. The apartments are located in different area i.e. one is in sarjapur road Bangalore & another one is in K R Puram Bangalore. What would be the legally appropriate way to conduct this transaction. Can we gift it to each other & later get registered in our names? Thanks

There r two ways one of them is through Gift Deed U can execute gift deed in favor of each other
another way is Deed of Exchange here only one document needs to be executed .

In deed of exchange there will be one document. So how do I & my friend keep independent document with us for future & posterity?
How the stamp duty will be decided for registeration for each property?
My property is in joint name with my wife. Is notorised power of attorney sufficient to conduct the transaction in Karnataka?
