Name change after marriage

I want to buy a house jointly in name of myself and my wife. My wife is working before marriage and so based on that all her doc like pan card, bank account, drv lic and now aadhar card to are with her father's name and surname. My name is nowhere after her name. Now builder tell us that a wife must have her husband's name in her full name to acquire a joint property with her husband and it is mandatory under law. Otherwise joint property is not possible. Is it true as per Indian law for property?

No , there is no such law.. It is not necessary for wife to have surname of her husband after her marriage

a Joint notarized affidavit from a public notary would suffice the purpose.
