Hello Sivani,
In both the cases either the wife should get huge alimony or get maintenance. What if for the fault of wife, if husband files divorce and wife is earning more than husband? Why should the husband and his children pass thru hardship? so think there are both sides for the coin and dont see only one side of the coin and judge things... Ofcourse one should go thru merits while deciding it.

No maintenance to earning wife- whether she is earning sufficient money to meet domestic expenses or not. if wife getting nominal earnings, husbad has to pay money out of his earnings. The wife is eligible maintenance before earnings thereafter she is not entitled to seek maintance. She may ask pemanent alimony as per law.

Hello Venu sir,
your statement "The wife is eligible maintenance before earnings thereafter she is not entitled to seek maintance. She may ask pemanent alimony as per law." is not clear, can please eloberate how she can seek for maintenance.
On one hand he said that if wife getting nominal earnings, husbad has to pay money out of his earnings..On other hand he said that The wife is eligible maintenance before earnings thereafter she is not entitled to seek maintance.
