No time limit for referring labour disputes to tribunal

Clarifying the legal position the suprene court has  held that -

“Law does not prescribe any time limit for the appropriate government to exercise its powers under Section 10 of the Industrial Disputes Act. If any industrial dispute exists or is apprehended, the appropriate government “at any time” refer it to a board or court for enquiry,”

now the limitation is 3 years for filing of case after amendment . moreover, for making reference no time limit is prescribed. the appropriate government may make reference of an industrial dispute at any time till industrial dispute exists.
