Non Acceptance of Associate Membership by Society

Hi,

I just want to know that can the committee members reject the Associate membership form? I stay with my Aunty in the same flat, (she is a senior citizen - stay 6 months here and 6 months out of India), so she appointed me to be her associate member, but our society rejected the application form, on the grounds saying that - as per bye-laws they had taken a special general body meeting and my application was put to vote and majority of the members of the society did not vote for me.

Where does the question of associate member to a senior citizen's flat arise in the society meeting. Is it not a person choice of the flat owner.

Can you please reply this ASAP

Regards,

Bala

If it is accoperative housing society, you can represent to the jurisdictional  registrar .
