Non payment of mobile bill

Hi Sir,

I recently got a call from Airtel Legal department saying non payment of broadband bill.

I was using Airtel broadband connection for internet. And as I shifted my house I called up customer care for discontinuing the service after paying the bill. But they didnt disconnect. Now they have charged bill for 4 months and is saying that they will file a complaint in LokAdalat regarding the same. what should I do? As I am not staying in older place, how will I get legal notice? Will this case anyway harm me?

Thanks much in advance.

You would have got confirmation number about cancellation of connection. obtain the coversation voice record for evidence to file a case in consumer forum, opp:Exhibition grounds, Nampally, Hyd.if you are staying in Hyd. or else at your city, consumer forum file with all evidences.

Yes, that is the way. If that be so, and if you have available evidence, you can prove deficiency in service before the District Consumer Forum. File a complaint immediately. Do not surrender to illegal demand.

Its more than 8-9 months for now and I missed the complaint number too. What should I do?

I am also worried about the address. I am not staying in that address. How would they be able to send the leagal notice?
