my friend was booked under ipc 497 and crpc 198. The court send him summon. He went in order to respond that summon but on that particular day honable judge was on leave. Since then he got 2 letters from police station but he did not go. Moreover he has not hired any lawyer. Now what cud be the status of his case as 497 has been abolished? will he get dates of hearing now?
