I am really surprised at the contradictions the indian law is crammed with .the notary for example.The NRI Power of Attorney in the absence of recoprocal arrangement with USA as per Indian Notaries Act need to be apostilled by the Indian Counsal.But the Indian Registration Act says tha a Notary signature attesting is good enough .If Notary action is governed by Indian Notaries Act what the Indian registration Act says can not be seen as acceptable.
