My grandfather recently underwent procedure at a hospital in Mumbai. He thereafter filed claim with OICL a government undertaking directly and hand delivered all originals to their TPA. He could not go for cashless treatment as the actual bill was much more and hospital refused cashless facility.
He avoided agent as claim is genuine and agents demand 10-15% money.
To his utter shock OICL/TPA are playing dirty tricks and calling for original documents which have already been hand delivered. Inspite of checking the documents TPA pur Contents Not Checked as a standard practice.
They don't care for IRDAI Or Insurance Ombudsman's advice.
Please guide how to get over this problem due to rampant corruption?
