Original documents missing

My father wants to write a will and register it. He owns three properties and orignial documents for one of the properties is missing , However the duplicates are available. Now can my father write a will  and register it even if originals for one of the properties owned by him is missing.

Please advice.

Will can be executed bequeathing all the properties in the manner it was proposed to be disposed.  Making a note of the duplicate property document in respect of that particular property will save future problems that may or may not arise in that regard.
