My Late Grand Father purchased one room in a Pagdi System building in 1960 at Mumbai-9 ,While He was Residing in his another room in the Same Building,
as in the year 1960 he purchased the said room, but doesn't did any transfer formality completed
after that my dad and other uncles did the same doesn't completed any transfer formality,
but on the said property we possess many Government documents ,
such as
passport, Ration Card, Adhar card..
our Family Members who resided has paid the Rent to land lord owner of Said room.
Our Family possess Rent Reciept, which is on first party name from whom my Grand Father has purchased..
few Years Back The Land owner has sold his Landlord ship Right to another Landlord,
he demolishes the Building For Redevelopments as per Mahada Norms..
Now he is Not paying Rent of Said Room to us as doing with other tenants,
He is Asking for the Huge amount as transfer fee which is more than 25%
of Room value
so After mentioning all the above details..
I have Few Questions..
1) What should We do To Claim our Rights on said Premises.. ?
2) Are we liable To pay this Amount to Landlord as a transfer amount.?
3)Plz suggest me what Should We do. Building is on Hold, He didn't started redevelopment work.. after demolishing..
4) My all 4 Uncle passed away, only my Father is Here to deal with him.
