We have a proposal to covert all the existing secuirty guards (through third party contract) to partime jobers this is basiscaly for some cost cutting measures: my query :what are the partime employment rights in India (Maharastra) like do they are bound by EPF, ESI, Contract Labour Regulation, Maternity Benefits, Gratuity, Minmum Wages etc, Since these partimers shall be engaged through a third party contractor their is a contract for emplyment between us and contractor which would mean we would be the principal employers of these partimers?, need clarity on this to ensure we are complaint to laws to avoid any risk.
