My Mother-in-law applied for the new fresh passport in RPO Thane. But her application was rejected after clearing 04 rounds of documents checks. As per the RPO officer she is not eligible for the PP, since she does not have school leaving certificate or DOB certificate. But Annx A was submitted with notary and affidaivate as a supporting documents. But they still not accepting the Annx A affidavite as they she can sign, so she is not eligible for Annx A form. But Annx A form state it can be submitted by illitrate and semi-illitrate (less than 5th class). But still the RPO thane office staff not accepting the form.
Can any please assist me to know which doccument will the right document for her to submitt to get the passport?? She is holding Voter Id, Adhar Card, Pan card, Income tax assesment paper, Ration card.
As a citizen of India she got the right to get the passport, but RPO thane staff rejecting her application saying DOB or school leaving certifcate is must. Both the document can not be reterive since school is closed long time back and BMC not issueing the DOB ceritificate.
