Passport renwal

Hi,

There was a case against me in 2007 but  in 2008 I was found innocent and was discharged from the case.

Now I need to apply for renewal of passport. In form there is a cluse stating "Have you ever been charged with criminal proceedings or any arrest warrant/ summon pendingbefore a court of India? *

What should be my answer to this question, yes or no since there is nothing pending on me.

Request for an urgent reply.

Thanks,

Raj

The answer is big YES, u were charged under some crime but acquitted by the Court and thats it. Even a convict cannot be deprived of passport. Go ahead and apply for renewal without hiding anything.

Regards
