Ph.D. Degree

My friends at lawyers club of India

My family friend Mr.Shankar Rao, got admitted for PhD from Kuppam University In the year 2007-08 batch. He was admitted directly by the university (he had not approached any study centers or education brokers) from the then director, duly verified and got admitted. He has done PG (less than 50%) and M.Phil (57%). From the beginning he is directly communicating with the university by paying annual fees without failing. When we checked on the university website it said 50% in PG or M.Phil. Recently he got a letter from the university saying you are not eligible for submitting Ph.D thesis. He and his wife both left the job, took loan to feed themselves and to fund for their education. They did the project work religiously for getting Ph.D. When he went to submit his PhD Thesis, they denied to accept his thesis. They are saying that you are eligible to submit your PhD thesis as you are having the required marks as per the norms. Is this fair in the name of education, to cheat people during the submission of the project work. Can he file case or can he approach UGC. Kindly advise

Tell your freind to approach the High Court against the fradulent activities of the University. First collect adequete proof in your favour to make your case weighty and then proceed.

U WERE DOING PH.D. FORM UNIVERSITY . THATS RIGHT . WHAT I THINK U SHOULD HAVE READ  THE WHOLE PROSPECTUS OF THE UNIVERSITY . WHAT R THE MINIMUM QAULIFICATION FOR PH.D. AND U R SUITABLE FOR THAT OR NOT ..

NEXT ACTION U MIGHT TAKE

TRY TO APPROACH MORE STUDENTS  AGAINST WHOM THIS FRAUD HAS BEEN DONE AND THEN APPRAOCH TO HIGH COURT .IT WILL DEFINATLY HELP U . IF U R SINGLE  U COULD APPROACH TO CONSUMER COURT TO TAKE YOUR MONEY BACK .

GOOD LUCK ....
