My name is aniruddh bhattacharya., I need your help.
I work as a digital minilab print machine operator in a photo laboratory in kolkata. when I was
recruited here I was not given any appointment letter or any offer letter but was recruited on a verbal
appointment in may 2004 but our company registered itself to the employees providend fund scheme
in 2007 from then onwards I receive payslip from my lab till date. recently I got a new job as a web
designer in a multinational company where the have given me an offer letter where they require my
appointment letter, my resignation letter and my releaving letter from my lab... when asked my boss
about the releaving letter he told me that he cannot help me officialy he told me to serve a notice of 1
month.. but never assured me to give the releaving letter... As i have no contract letter with my lab I
was never told about any notice period in the past and I dont know wether he will give me any
releaving letter at the end of the notice period... what shall I do now... i am very worried... can any
one issue any releaving letter if he had not issued any appointment letter.
In earlier cases I have never seen any employee of our lab getting any resignation acceptence or any
releaving letter... they never enquired for the same.
please help me out .
