Please inform

Respected experts,

I shall be required to file a Matrimonial Appeal in the Supreme Court against an order of the High Court. I have been told by a few persons that cases are not listed for hearing in Supreme Court before 2 years after it has been filed.

Kindly inform if it is so.

Regards.

Dear Querist,

Attn. Mr. Manku,

When you file SLP/Appeal etc. in Supreme Court, it takes time as necessary which according to me is reasonable. However, in a given case, after filing the petition/appeal, one can officially get the matter listed for hearing in 7-days time also. Hence, your info as to long time taken in SC is not usual.
