Please urgent requirement of help

I had paid 50k as token money for a property, but no receipt or stamp was signed for this token amount and the person is a real estate agent. Due to some financial problems we dropped the idea of buying this property and now the agent refuses us to refund the 50k , saying this is non refundable. We cancelled the plan of buying after two days of submitting the money. What should I do ?. Help please!!
