Police investigation procedure - rti

Dear Members,

1. Can we get all investigation steps involved or taken by IO from the date of FIR filing to till the date of filing charge sheet.

2. Can we get the details of which constable/officer visited which witness location ( if they are not from same city) on which date and time to record the witness statement.

3.To record 161 statement does the witness need to present in Station in person ( or IO visit witness location) .
Can it happen over phone also.
4.Do we get the above details using RTI?

If yes which books of records are to be asked to get the prrof of the same.

It comes under the discretionary power of IO to provide you copies or details of investigation. Read CrPC to learn more about this.

Which Section of CrPC states that? Does IO also has discretionary powers? As per my knowledge in India only Indian Judiciary has discretion powers, everyone else has to abide by rules, no discretion for others and IO does not have any discretion. Please state under which section of Crpc his discretionary powers are defined.
