Police not acting on fir

Hi,

We have filed a FIR over a six month back about a cyber crime. The cyber cell has identified the culprit who is living in another state and sent the report to local police over 6 months back. The police has been giving one or another excuse to avoid arresting the culprit. We also escalated the matter to the top police official without any results. What are our options now?

Thanks

Just inquire about the crime no. or FIR no, and pray court to call progress report. definitely police will set in to motion. It is not necessary that in every section of IT act police will arrest the accused.

File complaint case u/s 200 cr.pc  before the court and take the necessary direction.

file an application before court to bring status report of the case, the court may pass the direction and police have to filed status report before the court.
