Post Ex-Party Divorce

Hi All,

I needed some advice on my situtation. The Family court granted me an Ex-party Divorce decree earlier this year. The opposite party appealed against it in High court but the High court dismissed their petition and upheld the Family court ruling. What I want to understand is

1) how long should i wait before getting re-married because there is a possibility that the opposite party might approach the Supreme court now?

2) What are the chances that the Supreme court will rule against the High court order?

3) What kind of expenses I can expect to incur in case I have to fight out the matter in the Supreme court, if at all the opposite party approaches the Supreme court?

Thanks in Advance!

well all depends upon the decision given by the High court, if the SLP is not filed in SC with in limitation period then u r free to move ahead with ur second marriage.

the decision of SC will depend upon the reasons given by family court and HC.

expenses can not be determined here...let there be some notice only then some proper step can be taken from ur side.

An important point to note is that the girl's appeal in the high court against the family court order was not even admitted as the high court did not see any merit in doing the same. Do all the above given answers remain the same in such a situation?
