Power of attorney validity

Sir/Madam,

A set of plots belongs to three brothers and one friend of theirs. The four owners of the plots made a general power of attoney to a person to enable him to sell the plots.

one of the three brothers died. Is the power of attorney still valid after the brother's death ? and can the person who is holding the power still sell the plot? or does the power of attorney document need to be made again for effecting a valid sale post the death of the brother?

The power of attorney document currently in place does not specify the terms and conditions regarding death of any of the owners.

Regards,

Paari

I feel---under the given circumstances---  the  power of attorney is no longer valid.  It needs to be  executed afresh.  If any of the executors dies, the  rights  vested in   PA holder authomatically get terminated.
