Presence of owner during registrating residential property

Hello,

I am buying a residential property for stay purpose. The builder told me he has an investors flat who would like to sell. I negotiated the deal with the builder and he told me we would process the registration process soon.

However, the builder is telling me that the Owner has granted the builder Power of Attorney /authority to sell the flat and enter into the agreement on the Owner's behalf. I am being suspicious.

What precautions should I take if builder denies to get Owner during registration?

Regards,

Teena

Okay. Thanks Mr Kapoor.

Is that the person to whom the power has been granted has to be in blood relation with the Owner?

I have asked for copy of POA, let's see.

Regards,

Teena
