Private sector employee-grievances

One of my relatives is detected with non-curable blood cancer and annual medical treatment cost is beyond financial means. No help from employer's side although he is working with Aditya Birla Group (self claimed the Best Employer). While managers have stopped his increment for 4-5 years, they are pressing for a forced retrenchment if he does not tender his resignation. What are the options available with the poor guy? This being Private Sector Company with a substantial public investment, could he file a writ petition to High Court under Article 17 ? Please advise urgently. One of my relatives is detected with non-curable blood cancer and annual medical treatment cost is beyond financial means.
