problem from old helder of property

we have a property in Bangalore which is still under B kaatha.. a guy who is trying to make a problem for us now has some documents which shows 50years back it was under his grandfather name so he is coming and making a litigation and asking for a money which is 50% of property so what can we do now.. and if we file a case what all the consequences we face and how long it takes
