Procedure for distribution of ancestral agricultural land

Dear Sir/ Madam,

We are 3 children who will inherit grandfather's about 30 Acres propoerty. The 30 acres are different land portions/ peices scattered in the village. Each peice has a different value & size. What is the procedure to distribute? Does the elder son have the 1st choice, 2nd (daughter) then the 3rd son. How does the law make sure it is fair?

First of all divide the property in three more less equal parts valuewise.It is general practice by lottery system ask youngest to pick up the part blindly then the second at last remaining for eldest.
