You will need to talk to judge in private and see what are his or her free days and adjust them along with your free dates. Once that is achieved, rest is simple.

You can simply ask the judge in writing, tell your free days, with time etc mentioned in particular. If you dont get a reply. Follow up with RTI application.  If RTI application is not replied.  File complaint in consumer court regarding the same. Hope this helps.

Assigning of dates is the Courts discretion but the time period mentioned by you of over a year is too big a gap and is generally not the practice. You can file a Writ against the same in the High Court and highlight the provisions of Section 21-B of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955.
